ABOUT

Japan is beautiful.
So let us build the structure that carries its value to the world.

In 2017, while planning and running a classic-car rally the length of Japan, I met the untouched beauty of the country unfolding beyond the car window, and the people of its regions welcoming travellers from the heart.

Not only the guests, but everyone involved was glad; gratitude and pride were circulating.
That scene is my origin.

“Japan is beautiful. Yet there is no structure to carry its value to the world. Then I will build one.”
From that resolve, Musubi was born.

PROFILE

Within one person, Megumi unites field experience as a national licensed interpreter-guide, the practical work of a travel agency, and the design-and-coordination function of a regional DMC; for more than twenty years she has practised the work of connecting regions with international guests.

Her foundation was laid at a UK-based high-value inbound travel company, where she attended to some of the world’s most distinguished guests — among them members of royal families, owners of global companies, and leading figures of media and the arts.

She designs travel that carries a region’s culture, livelihood and succession into the future within relationships between people — rather than treating them as mere tourism content.

SELECTED ACHIEVEMENTS

Musubi’s strength lies neither in theory alone nor in field experience alone.
It lies in having entered regions, built relationships with people, and actually shaped the place of welcome — then distilled that experience into thinking other regions can apply.
For this reason we can accompany government, DMOs and tourism operators on both fronts: thought and implementation.
